What happens if smoking damages my larynx?

The simple conditions caused by smoking can include a sore throat, laryngitis which is loss of voice due to inflammation. The larynx is your voice box. By vibrating within your throat it enables you to speak.

A more dangerous condition that can occur is cancer of the larynx. It might require it to be surgically removed to avoid the cancer spreading and becoming life threatening. Smoking is one of the major causes of laryngeal cancer. Recovery from a laryngectomy is complicated and requires an adjustment to the loss of your vocal cords. I highly doubt that the pleasure of smoking is anywhere near to being worth the risk.

There was this guy see.
